I am going to be writing a book/story in the near future, if I can get it published as a book.
::sniff sniff:: I smell an art competition...
So far, I've thought of this title: "The Tale of the Lost Dragon" because, technically, the main character (an anthro dragon) IS lost. She knows nothing about her family or her family tree because her parents abandoned her at birth.
The main character's name is Linna, and she is a silver dragon. She's about 6 feet 8 inches tall, so if you want to give the title picture a shot, go ahead.

RULES: We need the ruleseths. Here they are.
1. No nudity in the image. I'm trying to write a book that you would see on a shelf in a regular bookstore/library, not one that would be...somewhere else.
2. No extra random unknown characters. So far, I've only thought of having the main character in the picture. If you have an idea about adding other "civilians/soldiers" in the picture, please ask me for the OK.
3. Be creative. If you want her to be doing her job (Alchemist) in the picture, go ahead. If you want her to be doing some kind of activity (looking for various plants for alchemy and the like) in the picture, go ahead. If you have any other idea, ask me for the OK.
4. Image size. It should be about as large as a standard book cover. If you want to draw a bigger picture and then truncate it, that's OK with me. I just don't want one humungous picture for a book that isn't that big.
5. Colors. THE DRAGON MUST BE ON A SILVERISH-SCALE! If she is any other color (an obvious gray, darker gray, or any other color) it will be requested for a color change. The method you use to color would be preferred as colored pencils (or markers if you're good with those) or if you would like, digital. A digital coloring must look good enough to be shown on a book cover to try and attract a reader to it.
The contest length...I haven't decided. Just keep submitting your entries until I verify a closing date.
As far as the reward...I would probably do a commision for you, as well as having your name in the book for the cover art and your picture on the front cover. If you have a reward suggestion, send me a note, and I'll consider it.
I'm expecting to get several good entries, so go to it!
